Dear miniscope community,

Let me start out by saying that I am very fond of the open source nature of this website and I look forward to contributing to it when my time as a learner is over. However, that is not the case just yet. I would like to ask a few questions regarding the uploaded matlab data analysis package.

- Is the package supposed to be able to analyze .avi files as it is or does it need a lot of adjusting i order to run?

- Does anybody have added help sections to some of the functions or perhaps newer versions of them that are open for sharing?

The reason that I ask is that I have been working to get the analysis package to work on miniscope recorded .avi files (adapted from multitiffs) for about a week now and I am running from one problem into the next, usually regarding dimension mismatch errors. I am now down to msBatchSegment. Any help is appreciated!

Thank you,

Jesper Vernooij

Hi Jesper, we are working on commenting the code and making it a bit easier to understand and run. Can you tell us a bit more about the data that you are trying to analyze? Was it acquired with inscopix or with a different miniscope? If you are willing to upload some data and the ms files up to the point where you have gotten we can take a look at the errors you are getting.

Hi Tristan thank you for your response. The data was acquired with a Doric microscope, which spits out multitiffs which I converted to .avi files using ImageJ. I'll upload the data as soon as I can.
